THE TYPE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We currently collect and process the following information:
  • Personal identifiers, contacts, and characteristics.
    • This includes your name and contact details (i.e. e-mail address, phone number, and/or postal address).
    • Information about the art/piece you submitted for exhibition and the date you submitted it will also be collected and stored in conjunction with your name and contact details.
HOW WE GET THE PERSONAL INFORMATION AND WHY WE HAVE IT

All of the personal information we collect is provided to me directly by you when you contact us for more information and/or when you submit a piece for exhibition. We collect and store this information for one of the following reasons:
  • We will keep a detailed (and secure) log of art submitted and who submitted it.
  • We will be in contact with you about the exhibition of your piece.
  • We will store your preferred contact details as well as how you want to be identified along with your art. As stated on the ‘Contribute’ page, only first names of artists will be used unless you prefer an alternative name (like a pseudonym or use of your full name, title, location, etc.). We will confirm this information with you.
  • We will contact you regarding the future of your art/piece.
We also receive personal information indirectly, from the following sources in the following scenarios:
  • If you take the poll (on the ‘Contribute’ page) your IP address will be logged. However, this information will not be stored or shared.
  • We use some Google and WordPress analytics to track website traffic (e.g. which countries the site is accessed from). This does not include identifying or personal information.
Your information will NOT be shared with any other organisations or third parties. Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:
  • Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting me at hello@civicdignity.com.
HOW WE STORE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

Your information is securely stored on a password-encrypted secure server.
We will keep your contact details for the duration of the Civic Dignity project or until our communication ceases. We will then dispose of your information by permanently deleting your contact details.

YOUR DATA PROTECTION RIGHTS

Under data protection law, you have rights including:
Your right of access – You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
Your right to rectification – You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.
Your right to erasure – You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.
Your right to restriction of processing – You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
Your right to object to processing – You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
Your right to data portability – You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.
